ABOUT ME
Why Yoga? Yoga helped me connect with who I really am, like nothing else in my life has.
I was a very hyper kid and I practiced many sports, gymnastics, skating, cheerleading, swimming, running, rock climbing. My first experience with Yoga was online classes, and when I practiced rock climbing we used to do sun salutations and stretching before training. That was when I started feeling more attracted to this practice and lifestyle.
When I moved to China I started attending Yoga classes twice a week while studying Chinese and pursuing my master's degree in business. In my last semester of masters, my interest in Yoga was so strong that I decided to do a Yoga training, primarily because I wanted to deepen my knowledge.
In my journey to find a school to which I felt connected, I found Drishti, a small Shala in Shanghai, China, at that time, owned and managed by Rajeev, the teacher of teachers, my spiritual master of life, who taught me so much of the science of Yoga. to whom I will always keep a special place in my heart, and to whom I’ll be grateful every day, for sharing his knowledge in the most committed and pure way, this man showed me what discipline and mental power is.
Those were intense months of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual challenges, but times when I learned the most valuable things, and what truly has value in life, that little shala became my home, and my classmates became my family. In those months I knew myself more than in 24 years of my life, I felt more connected than ever, they were times of deep self-knowledge, of exploring my inner wisdom, of self-love, of valuing and re-valuing the things that really matter in life. Here, for the first time I felt I was walking on the right path, and since then I’ve never stopped feeling this way.
Those months flew by, and with the closing ceremony came my departure from China, the end of another chapter, but the beginning of the rest of my life, while I had that last talk with Rajeev, my teacher, I confessed these words that I still remember perfectly: "Thank you for making me change my mind." I never wanted to be a teacher, I told him in the beginning of the course, and then that day I knew that I didn't see myself doing anything else in this life other than sharing this practice.
Since then I have met and practiced with renowned teachers around the world, sharing knowledge and exchanging energy, I’ve taught in different Yoga studios, professional athletes and soccer players, pregnant women and elderly, I have offered talks and Meditation workshops in companies and wellness events, community Yoga in parks, cooking classes, Yoga classes on YouTube and guided Meditation podcasts. What I enjoy the most is bringing Yoga to people who have never practiced it and being part of their process. Every day I learn more from each of my students, and today I know that every decision I made in my life was and happened to take me on this path.
My classes are based on the concept of a smooth and grounded practice, focused on awakening intimate awareness and inspiring the rebalance of the body, mind and spirit through Yoga, meditation and conscious eating. Intuitively guiding you on a journey towards individuality to discover yourself, to connect with the essence of your being and your space of true love, infusing energy and movement from intentional breathing, as you learn to cultivate your own practice, honor the temple sacred that is your body and find well-being and balance in your life on a spiritual and intellectual level, in such a way that every day you move in a state of peace, in which the knower, the knowledge and the known become one.
To each of you with whom I have had the joy of sharing this path of love, intuition and knowledge, thank you very much! Namaste!
